Baccarat Protocols
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards valued less than 10 are of their printed number while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they strictly represent the two hands to be dealt).
Two hands of two cards will then be given to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The total for each hand is the total of the two cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For e.g., a hand of 7 … five has a total of two (7plus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).
A 3rd card might be given depending on the foll. protocols:
- If the player or banker has a total of eight or 9, then both bettors stand.
- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.
- If bettor stands, the banker hits of 5 or lesser. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to decide if the banker stands or hits.
Baccarat Odds
The greater of the two scores will be the winner. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19 to twenty (even money minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure to have cash left over before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie usually pay eight to 1 but occasionally nine to one. (This is a bad bet as ties occur less than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from putting money on a tie. However odds are supremely better – nine to one vs. eight to one)
Played properly, baccarat offers pretty decent odds, away from the tie bet of course.
Baccarat Tactics
As with just about all games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is close to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future outcomes. Tracking of prior conclusions on a chart is definitely a waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.
The most established and feasibly most successful technique is the one-3-two-6 technique. This tactic is employed to build up wins and minimizing risk.
start by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the two on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, clear away four so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the 3rd gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum of 6 on the 4th wager.
If you don’t win on the first bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the second will create a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
