Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards that are valued under 10 are said to be at their printed value while ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual players; they simply appear as the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be given out to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for every hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the very first digit is removed. For example, a hand of 7 and 5 produces a score of 2 (sevenplusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A 3rd card could be given out depending on the following practices:

- If the gambler or banker has a tally of eight or 9, then both players stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. gamblers stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the gambler hits, a chart shall be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores wins. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds less a five % commission. Commission is followed closely and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have dollars still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to 1. Winning bets for tie normally pay 8 to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is a terrible bet as ties occur lower than 1 every 10 hands. Stay away from laying money on a tie. Regardless odds are vastly better – 9 to 1 vs. eight to 1)

Played correctly, baccarat provides fairly good odds, away from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Tactics

As with just about all games, Baccarat has some well-known myths. 1 of which is similar to a roulette misconception. The past is never actually a predictor of future events. Monitoring of last outcomes on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful tactic is the 1-3-two-six technique. This method is deployed to boost payouts and lowering risk.

commence by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of 3 on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a value of six on the 4th wager.

If you don’t win on the initial bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the 4th mean you come out even. Winning all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of 10. Therefore that you can lose the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
