Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards under ten are said to be at their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply act as the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then dealt to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dumped. For eg, a hand of 7 … five produces a score of two (7plus5=12; drop the ‘one’).

A third card may be played depending on the following protocols:

- If the bettor or banker has a tally of 8 or nine, the two gamblers stand.

- If the gambler has 5 or lower, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the two scores is the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay out 19 to 20 (even odds minus a 5 percent commission. Commission is followed closely and cleared out when you leave the table so ensure that you have cash still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay 8 to one and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a crazy wager as ties happen lower than one every 10 hands. Avoid laying money on a tie. However odds are decidedly better – 9 to one versus eight to 1)

When done correctly, baccarat offers relatively decent odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Tactics

As with most games, Baccarat has some established false impressions. One of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an indicator of future outcomes. Monitoring of last conclusions on a chart is undoubtedly a complete waste of paper as well as an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and feasibly most successful tactic is the 1-three-2-6 scheme. This tactic is employed to magnify payout and cutting back risk.

commence by wagering 1 unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the 3rd bet, add 2 to the four on the table for a value of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you lose on the initial bet, you suck up a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you break even. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
