Baccarat Regulations

Baccarat is wagered on with eight decks in a shoe. Cards valued less than 10 are counted at their printed value and with Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is 1. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the 2 hands to be dealt).

Two cards are dealt to both the ‘bank’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the total of the 2 cards, although the first number is dumped. e.g., a hand of five and 6 has a total of one (five plus 6 = 11; drop the 1st ‘one’).

A third card will be given depending on the rules below:

- If the player or bank has a value of 8 or 9, the two players hold.

- If the gambler has less than five, he hits. Players holds otherwise.

- If the gambler stands, the bank takes a card on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a chart is used to figure out if the house stays or hits.

Baccarat Chemin de Fer Odds

The larger of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the house pay out 19:20 (equal money less a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and paid off when you depart the game so ensure you still have cash left just before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pays 1:1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pays out at eight to one but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a awful wager as a tie occurs lower than one in every ten rounds. Avoid betting on a tie. Although odds are astonishingly better for 9 to 1 versus 8:1)

Played correctly baccarat banque provides fairly decent odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Baccarat Strategy

As with all games baccarat banque has some familiar myths. One of which is close to a misunderstanding in roulette. The past is not a prophecy of events yet to happen. Keeping track of previous results at a table is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that gave its life for our paper needs.

The most established and possibly the most successful plan is the one-three-two-six technique. This method is deployed to pump up profits and minimizing losses.

Start by betting 1 dollar. If you win, add another to the two on the table for a total of three units on the second bet. If you win you will now have 6 on the table, pull off four so you are left with 2 on the 3rd wager. If you come away with a win on the third wager, add two on the four on the game table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth bet.

If you do not win on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A profit on the 1st bet followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of two. Success on the 1st 2 with a hit on the third provides you with a gain of 2. And success on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth means you balance the books. Winning at all four wagers leaves you with 12, a gain of 10. This means you will be able to give up the 2nd wager 5 instances for each successful run of four bets and still break even.
