Baccarat Banque Policies

Baccarat chemin de fer is wagered on with eight decks of cards in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are worth their printed value while 10, J, Q, K are zero, and Ace is one. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two cards are given to both the ‘house’ and ‘gambler’. The score for each hand is the sum total of the cards, although the 1st digit is dropped. For instance, a hand of 5 and 6 has a value of one (5 plus 6 equals eleven; ditch the first ‘one’).

A 3rd card might be dealt depending on the following rules:

- If the player or banker achieves a score of eight or 9, both players stay.

- If the player has 5 or lower, she takes a card. Players otherwise stay.

- If the player holds, the banker takes a card on five or lower. If the gambler takes a card, a chart is employed to determine if the bank stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The greater of the 2 scores wins. Winning wagers on the banker pay out 19:20 (even money less a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and paid off once you quit the game so be sure to have money remaining just before you leave). Winning wagers on the gambler pays 1 to 1. Winning wagers for tie normally pays out at 8 to 1 but sometimes 9:1. (This is a poor bet as a tie occurs lower than one in every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. However odds are substantially greater for 9 to 1 vs. eight to one)

Wagered on correctly baccarat banque gives pretty good odds, aside from the tie bet of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games punto banco has some familiar false impressions. One of which is the same as a myth in roulette. The past is not a harbinger of future events. Keeping track of previous outcomes at a table is a bad use of paper and an affront to the tree that was cut down for our stationary desires.

The most accepted and likely the most favorable scheme is the one-three-two-six method. This plan is used to build up earnings and limit losses.

Start by betting one unit. If you succeed, add another to the two on the table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. Should you succeed you will have six on the game table, remove 4 so you are left with 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third bet, add two on the 4 on the table for a grand total of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of 1. A profit on the 1st wager followed by a hit on the second creates a loss of two. Wins on the 1st two with a defeat on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the fourth means you break even. Winning all 4 bets leaves you with 12, a gain of ten. This means you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for each favorable streak of four rounds and still are even.
