Baccarat Protocols

Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Cards under 10 are said to be at their printed value meanwhile ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each equal to 1. Bets are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual individuals; they simply depict the two hands to be played).

2 hands of two cards shall then be dealt to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The total for any hand will be the total of the two cards, but the initial digit is removed. For e.g., a hand of 7 as well as 5 results in a total of 2 (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘one’).

A third card could be played depending on the following guidelines:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of eight or nine, the two players stand.

- If the bettor has five or lower, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the bettor hits, a chart will be used in order to determine if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the two scores is the winner. Victorious stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to 20 (even odds minus a five percent commission. Commission is kept track of and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money still before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay 1 to one. Winning bets for tie typically pays out at 8 to 1 and occasionally nine to 1. (This is a bad wager as ties occur lower than one every 10 hands. Run away from wagering on a tie. Still, odds are positively better – nine to 1 versus 8 to one)

When done accurately, baccarat offers relatively good odds, apart from the tie bet obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some common misconceptions. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future results. Tracking of last outcomes on a chart is for sure a complete waste of paper and an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most commonly used and probably most successful method is the 1-3-two-6 concept. This tactic is deployed to accentuate profits and reducing risk.

Begin by betting one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have 2 on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add 2 to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th gamble.

If you don’t win on the 1st bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the 1st bet quickly followed by loss on the 2nd will create a loss of 2. Wins on the first 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of 10. This means that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
