Baccarat Standards

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are give a value of their printed number while 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed on the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual persons; they simply portray the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The score for every hand shall be the sum total of the 2 cards, but the 1st digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven … five results in a total score of 2 (sevenplusfive=12; drop the ‘one’).

A 3rd card may be given depending on the foll. regulations:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or 9, each players stand.

- If the bettor has 5 or lower, he/she hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If player stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The bigger of the 2 scores is the winner. Successful stakes on the banker pay at nineteen to twenty (even money minus a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so ensure that you have money still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay 1 to 1. Winner bets for tie generally pay out eight to 1 and sometimes nine to 1. (This is a terrible wager as ties will occur lower than one every ten hands. Avoid betting on a tie. However odds are actually better – nine to 1 vs. 8 to 1)

Played properly, baccarat presents generally good odds, away from the tie wager obviously.

Baccarat Strategy

As with most games, Baccarat has some well-known false impressions. 1 of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future happenings. Keeping track of past outcomes on a chart is for sure a total waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life to be used as our stationary.

The most commonly used and possibly most successful method is the one-3-2-6 concept. This scheme is employed to maximize winnings and cutting back risk.

start by gambling 1 unit. If you win, add 1 more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, clear away 4 so you have two on the 3rd wager. If you win the 3rd wager, add two to the four on the table for a total of six on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first three with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Arriving at a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Therefore you can lose the 2nd bet 5 times for every successful streak of four bets and still break even.
