Baccarat chemin de fer is enjoyed with eight decks in a dealer’s shoe. Cards below ten are valued at face value while at the same time Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and Ace is one. Bets are made on the ‘banker’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these are not actual people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of 2 cards are then given to the ‘banker’ and ‘player’. The value for each hand is the total of the two cards, however the first digit is discarded. e.g., a hand of five and six has a value of one (five plus six equals eleven; drop the 1st ‘1′).

A additional card could be given using the rules below:

- If the gambler or bank gets a value of 8 or 9, both players stand.

- If the gambler has less than 5, he hits. Players holds otherwise.

- If the player stays, the house takes a card on five or lower. If the player takes a card, a guide is employed to determine if the bank stands or hits.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the 2 totals wins. Winning bets on the banker pay out 19:20 (even money minus a 5% commission. Commission are tracked and cleared out once you quit the table so be sure to have cash around before you leave). Winning bets on the gambler pays out at 1:1. Winning bets for a tie frequently pay 8:1 but on occasion 9:1. (This is a poor bet as ties happen lower than 1 in every ten hands. Be cautious of gambling on a tie. Although odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)

Gambled on correctly baccarat gives generally decent odds, apart from the tie bet of course.

Baccarat Scheme

As with all games baccarat chemin de fer has a few established misconceptions. One of which is the same as a misconception in roulette. The past isn’t a fore-teller of events yet to happen. Recording previous results on a chart is a waste of paper and a snub to the tree that surrendered its life for our paper needs.

The most common and possibly the most favorable course of action is the one-three-two-six tactic. This method is employed to maximize earnings and minimizing losses.

Start by placing 1 chip. If you win, add 1 more to the two on the game table for a sum total of three dollars on the second bet. Should you win you will hold six on the game table, subtract 4 so you have 2 on the third round. If you win the 3rd wager, put down 2 on the 4 on the game table for a grand total of six on the 4th bet.

If you lose on the 1st bet, you take a hit of 1. A profit on the first wager followed by a hit on the 2nd creates a hit of 2. Success on the 1st 2 with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a profit of two. And success on the initial 3 with a loss on the 4th means you balance the books. Succeeding at all four bets gives you with twelve, a gain of ten. This means you will be able to lose the 2nd bet 5 instances for every favorable streak of 4 wagers and in the end, are even.
