Punto Banco Standards

Baccarat is bet on with 8 decks in a shoe. Cards under ten are worth their printed number while Ten, Jack, Queen, King are zero, and A is one. Wagers are made on the ‘bank’, the ‘player’, or on a tie (these aren’t really people; they simply represent the two hands that are dealt).

Two hands of two cards are then given to the ‘bank’ and ‘player’. The score for every hand is the sum of the cards, however the 1st digit is dumped. For instance, a hand of five and 6 has a value of 1 (five plus 6 = 11; dump the first ‘1′).

A additional card could be given using the rules below:

- If the player or bank achieves a total of 8 or 9, both players stay.

- If the gambler has less than 5, he takes a card. Players otherwise stand.

- If the player stays, the bank hits on a value less than five. If the gambler takes a card, a guide is used to see if the bank stays or takes a card.

Punto Banco Odds

The larger of the two totals wins. Winning bets on the banker payout 19:20 (equal cash minus a five percent rake. Commission are tracked and cleared out when you leave the game so make sure you have funds left over before you depart). Winning bets on the gambler pay 1:1. Winning wagers for tie frequently pays out at 8 to 1 but on occasion 9 to 1. (This is a poor bet as ties occur lower than one in every ten rounds. Be cautious of putting money on a tie. However odds are substantially better for nine to one versus 8:1)

Gambled on correctly punto banco offers pretty good odds, aside from the tie wager of course.

Punto Banco Method

As with all games punto banco has a handful of accepted myths. One of which is similar to a myth in roulette. The past isn’t a prophecy of events about to happen. Tracking past results on a chart is a bad use of paper and an insult to the tree that was cut down for our stationary needs.

The most accepted and definitely the most acknowledged strategy is the one-three-two-six plan. This technique is employed to pump up earnings and minimizing risk.

Start by placing one chip. If you win, add one more to the two on the game table for a sum of three chips on the second bet. If you succeed you will now have six on the table, take away 4 so you are left with two on the 3rd wager. Should you come away with a win on the 3rd bet, deposit two to the four on the table for a sum total of 6 on the 4th round.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the first bet followed by a loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Success on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you with a gain of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a defeat on the fourth means you balance the books. Succeeding at all 4 wagers leaves you with 12, a take of ten. This means you are able to give up the 2nd wager five instances for each favorable run of four wagers and in the end, are even.
