Baccarat Procedures

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards. Cards which are valued less than 10 are of face value and on the other hand 10, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual gamblers; they just appear as the 2 hands to be given out).

2 hands of 2 cards will then be dealt to the ‘banker’ as well as ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is dropped. For eg, a hand of seven as well as 5 gives a total of two (sevenplus5=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card might be dealt depending on the following codes:

- If the bettor or banker has a total score of 8 or 9, then both gamblers stand.

- If the player has 5 or less, he hits. bettors stand otherwise.

- If gambler stands, the banker hits of 5 or lower. If the player hits, a chart is used in order to see if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The larger of the 2 scores will be the winner. Successful bets on the banker pay nineteen to twenty (even money less a five % commission. Commission is kept track of and moved out when you leave the table so make sure that you have $$$$$ still before you leave). Bets on the player that end up winning pay one to one. Winner bets for tie customarily pays 8 to 1 and occasionally 9 to 1. (This is not a good gamble as ties will happen lower than one every 10 hands. Stay away from betting on a tie. Even so odds are decidedly better – nine to one vs. eight to one)

Played correctly, baccarat offers fairly decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with many games, Baccarat has some established misunderstandings. One of which is quite similar to a misconception of roulette. The past is not an actual indicator of future actions. Tracking of last results on a chart is undoubtedly a waste of paper … an insult to the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most popular and probably most successful technique is the one-3-2-6 technique. This technique is employed to boost payouts and reducing risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the second bet. If you win you will have 6 on the table, take away 4 so you have 2 on the third wager. If you win the third wager, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum of 6 on the fourth wager.

If you lose on the 1st wager, you take a loss of 1. A win on the 1st bet followed by loss on the second causes a loss of two. Wins on the first two with a loss on the third gives you a profit of two. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you breakeven. Getting a win on all four bets leaves you with 12, a profit of ten. Thus that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
