Baccarat Rules

Baccarat is played with eight decks of cards in a shoe. Cards than are of a value less than 10 are said to be worth face value and on the other hand ten, J, Q, K are 0, and A are each applied a value of 1. Wagers are placed upon the ‘banker,’ the ‘player’ or for a tie (these aren’t actual contenders; they purely symbolize the two hands to be played).

2 hands of 2 cards shall then be played to the ‘banker’ … ‘player’. The value for each hand is the sum total of the two cards, but the initial digit is discarded. For example, a hand of seven as well as 5 will have a tally of 2 (7plusfive=twelve; drop the ‘1′).

A third card can be played depending on the following rules:

- If the bettor or banker has a value of eight or nine, both players stand.

- If the bettor has five or less, he hits. Players stand otherwise.

- If bettor stands, the banker hits of five or lower. If the player hits, a chart will be used in order to figure if the banker stands or hits.

Baccarat Odds

The higher of the two scores will be the winner. Victorious bets on the banker pay at 19 to 20 (even odds less a five percent commission. Commission is followed closely and paid out when you leave the table so make sure you have money remaining before you leave). Winning bets on the player pay one to one. Winner bets for tie as a rule pay out 8 to one but on occasion nine to one. (This is not a good wager as ties happen less than 1 every 10 hands. Definitely don’t try putting money on a tie. Even so odds are exceedingly better – nine to 1 vs. eight to 1)

When played effectively, baccarat offers generally decent odds, aside from the tie bet ofcourse.

Baccarat Strategy

As with every games, Baccarat has some common false impressions. 1 of which is close to a roulette myth. The past is in no way an actual indicator of future actions. Keeping track of prior conclusions on a chart is simply a complete waste of paper … a slap in the face for the tree that gave its life for our stationary needs.

The most established and possibly most successful technique is the 1-3-2-six concept. This method is used to increase wins and reducing risk.

commence by wagering one unit. If you win, add one more to the 2 on the table for a total of three on the 2nd bet. If you win you will have six on the table, take away 4 so you have two on the 3rd bet. If you win the third gamble, add two to the 4 on the table for a sum total of six on the fourth bet.

If you lose on the first bet, you take a loss of one. A win on the first bet followed by loss on the second brings about a loss of 2. Wins on the 1st two with a loss on the 3rd gives you a profit of 2. And wins on the first 3 with a loss on the fourth mean you come out even. Winning at all four bets leaves you with twelve, a profit of ten. In other words that you can get beaten the second bet 5 times for every successful streak of 4 bets and still break even.
